Short Bio

Margie Taylor, Ph.D., LPC-S, NCC is the clinical coordinator and visiting assistant professor in Counselor Education at Auburn University.


Her research interests include mitigating vicarious trauma in practicing counselors, preventing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in first responders, and preparing counselors for court testimony. As an educator, Taylor focuses primarily on developing clinical skills in both Master’s and doctoral students.


Dr. Taylor is originally from Bardstown, Kentucky but has lived in Alabama for sixteen years. She is married to her best friend, has two fur babies as children, and two five-year-old nephews she enjoys spoiling every chance she gets. She loves most outdoor activities, good food, and time with family.
